Aadhaar (UID) Card




Aadhaar is a 12-digit unique identification (UID) number which the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is issuing for all Indian residents. The UID number is stored in a centralised database and linked to the basic demographics and biometric information – photograph, ten fingerprints and iris – of each individual.

* There is no deadline (last date) for getting enrolled,  If there is rush at enrollment centers, Don’t stress , have patience, there will be more centres, more counters in the days to come.

* Aadhaar is a Number not a Card

* Do NOT share/disclose your Aadhaar number publicly (e.g on this site).

* It’s good to have an Aadhaar number, though its not mandatory (as of now).
